All day
Bellthorpe National Park is a beautiful hilly rainforest area near Woodford North of Brisbane. We have been visiting for a number of years and have a good rapport with the rangers, and in the past have been granted access to locked areas in exchange for track clearing activities.
This relationship is formalising under the Friends of Parks banner, like our club activities at Nerang. We have not been able to get back to Bellthorpe since November last year due to the significant ongoing rainfall in the park.
This Saturday daytrip is a driving working bee to help with track clearing or maintenance in the park. It may involve clearing heavily overgrown areas and the risk of lantana pinstripes.
This is a Daytrip with Camping option.
A separate daytrip will be running in Bellthorpe on Sunday 28 July, to be booked separately. The Sunday trip will be led by Sarah Blyth and is focussed on encouraging women in the club to get together and get behind the wheel for the day.
But anyone attending either day is welcome to camp with us Saturday night at nearby
Running Creek Campground. Please contact the campground directly to book your spot – it is best to get in early as it is known to book out.
