Camping near Glastonbury Creek camping area (Gympie)

So, slight change of plan … A not too stressful camping weekend, camping near(ish) Gympie – not at Glastonbury as originally planned. One of out club members, Alex Gordon-Jones has a property that he has kindly offered for us to camp on. Details on how to get there will be in an email a few days out from the trip. There’s a little bit of 4WDing (medium) that we need have recce’d … enough to fill in a afternoon at least. Other things we’ll look to fit in: The Bunker Smokehouse and Bar for lunch or dinner (haven’t decided yet) Gympie Gold Mining and Historical Museum  – we’ve driven past it many times on the way to/from Fraser Island and finally got the chance to visit recently … it’s actually a very interesting look back into Australian history. Back to camp for a siesta/campfire/beer-o-clock – depending on how things work out. Sunday morning, a leisurely start and then a drive home via the “roads less travelled”.
