It’s the right time of year for a weekend at the beach!
We’ve been visiting Double Island Point in December and January for a few years now, usually camping at Noosa Northshore because they have great facilities including a pub! But this year we would like to try something different and camp closer to Double Island Point to spend less time & fuel driving up and down the beach each day, and more time at the beach.
While there are many self sufficient beach camping areas, on this trip we will be staying at the Freshwater Camping Area. It has Toilets and Showers (bring coins for the showers), there are over 50 campsites for tents and trailers, and it is very close to Double Island Point. It isn’t beachfront camping, but it’s pretty close.
Saturday 14 December High Tide is 7am, Low Tide is 1:32pm
Sunday 15 December High tide is 7:48am, Low Tide is 2:24pm
We’ll be driving up from Brisbane Saturday morning instead of dealing with Friday traffic, and we’ll be staying a 2nd night returning Monday 16th December. Some people may still wish to book for Friday and make their own way to their campsite.
For anyone wishing to drive in convoy to the campsite we will meet at Noosa Northshore Third Cutting at 9:30am Saturday.
