Gun Barrel Reboring

Long Distance “outback” trip with 3 days for each Highway which is as long as each permit lasts.  the chosen month of October is not to hot according to permit issuing people and will run with a suitable amount of dirt for our drivers.

It is planned to run westwards across the Plenty then down past Uluru to Warburton and outwards along the Gun Barrel returning via the Central Highway.

Returning home  will have several alternates so no one cane accused of making a wrong U Turn.  There will be more time for stopping at the Olgas and Uluru/ Yulara and choices of north, south, and via visits to Chambers/and Lamberts.

Currently my plan is to visit Chambers and Lamberts Centre then probably south via the bitumen and home but can be easily led astray.

This is a long trip and vehicle servicing may need to be taken into account as well as the usual food water supplies and recovery planning for remote areas.  Some spares may be needed.

The suggested dates are a little flexible but time is needed for to and from travel.
