An afternoon workshop introducing you to the fundamentals of Navigation.
- What is a map?
- North – what is it really?
- Common terminology
- What do all those funny numbers mean?
- What is magnetic declination/variation and why should I care?
- An overview of navigation aids and how to use them
What to Bring:
- Compass (if you have one)
- A/some maps (if you have any)
- Questions (I reckon you’ll have some of those)
We’ll try to improve your understanding of how to get the most out of your GPS, maps and perhaps get lost a little less often …
(Remember, you’re not lost if you don’t know where you are, only if you don’t know where you’re going)
Be there for 12:00 pm, aiming to finish around 4-4:30pm
