Unless otherwise advised in an updated email.
Meet time will be 8am for 8.30am departure
Meet at entry to Nerang – Corner Yarrayne Road and Mylor Road Nerang (Nerang State Forest gated entry)
What is “Adopt a Track”
It’s an opportunity for 4WD Qld Affiliated Clubs to support QPWS in bushcare and track management within state and national parks
Permission is provided to us to access tracks which may not be accessible to the general public
We help with track clearing, lantana reduction is quite a heavy task we tend to in Nerang
The tracks in Nerang are easy to moderate dependent on recent rainfall in the area
WHAT to bring:
PPE – Hat, sunscreen, gloves, sturdy closed in shoes
Camera, chair, whiteboard marker for laminated mapping
Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea
Plenty of drinking water
NOTE Nerang does not have any facilities – BYO toilet paper and shovel!!
Track clearing equipment in case we need to clear a fallen tree – drag chain, chainsaw (if qualified) axe, PPE
Vehicle requirements – full tank fuel, recovery gear, tracks are shale, we will air down once we enter the park
Track rating – moderate
