The Annual Fraser Island Clean Up event.
Come and Join 4wd clubs from all over Queensland and help clean up the largest sand inland in the world while exploring the island with like minded explorers at a reduced price!
Bookings need to be made on the TLCC website and also the Fraser Island clean up website (www.ficu.org.au). If you do not book through the FICU website, you will not be able to attend. There is a booking fee on the FICU website that covers your parks and camping permit for the 4 day period. You will receive registration stickers that will get you discounted Barge rates.
On the Sunday night there is also a thank you dinner at Cathedral’s that you can choose to attend. You must book and pay for this on the FICU website also.
Day trips will occur over the time on the island and on Sunday morning, we clean up our assigned stretch of beach (TBA).
Camping on the island will most likely be in non-fenced camping zones (we are assigned camp zones and don’t get to choose our camp location) and being Fraser, Dingoes will be around, so please keep that in mind when considering booking for this trip if you have children.
No Fires are allowed on Fraser and you will need to be self sufficient while on the island. There are a few basic shops, toilets and fuel etc but shops and fuel are expensive being an island.
