Nerang Grant Cheque handover photo share 2022

Please, you are all welcome to come and attend the Nerang Grant Cheque handover presented to us from Meaghan Scanlon MP, Minister for the Environment and the Great Barrier Reef, Minister for Science and Youth Affairs. This is a great opportunity to display the works we have completed in Nerang over the past 10 years – from the first Grant of $15,000 for the signage to this current $20,000 grant for lantana treatment, coupled with our regular visits into the Nerang area to help maintain the tracks, clear lantana and create a positive display of four wheel driving as a club. You are invited to attend to support the Toyota Landcruiser Club (Qld) Inc. as we receive the cheque for this latest grant. 10am to access and await the arrival of the Minister. Time 11am is the meet time with the Member for Gaven, Hon. Meaghan Scanlon MP. The minister will be with us for approximately 1 hour.  We will travel up to Lantana Hill and perhaps look to identify a lantana tract which we will work on with the contractors for lantana eradication.  They would like photos of the before and will then also aim to get photos afterwards as well. TIME TO BE CONFIRMED IN THE DAYS PRIOR TO THE EVENT. MEET POINT WILL ALSO BE CONFIRMED BY EMAIL. Please have your vehicles and recovery gear as appropriate. PPE for lantana works – we probably won’t do very much – it will be for the photo opportunity but we do need to be dressed appropriately! CLUB SHIRT of course!!
