A founding member of Four-Wheel Drive Qld, TLCC Qld is managed by a committee of elected club members with diverse backgrounds and professional experiences.

Awards

We highly value our members involvement in Club activities and recognising active participation through an Annual Awards Presentation.

The current Awards descriptions are listed below – recognising our club’s motto of “Friendship, Four Wheeling and Fun”.

A Nomination Form is available below to current club members to nominate any club member for any of the listed awards. You need to be logged in to make Nominations.

Club members can submit nominations to one or any number of the awards listed below. Simply complete the nomination form again to record multiple nominations.

The more information you can provide when nominating a club member assists the Award Committee gaining an understanding of your nomination.

Just a Bit of Housekeeping

The awards are based on a calendar year, but you can nominate the person at any time during the year. Members are welcome to enter nominations into each category.

There is an Awards Committee who confidentially collates the award nominations based on the information club members provide,

The Awards Ceremony is generally held at a highly social weekend early the following year.

Award Descriptions:

Trip Leader of the Year Award

This is awarded to the member who either runs or assists in running the most enjoyable 4WD trips in a year. They can be long or short trips.

Most Improved Driver

Awarded to a member whose driving has noticeably improved during the year. The recipient of the Most Improved Driver Award is nominated by the Driver Training Coordinator. No nomination required.

Fun Award

This is awarded to a Club member who noticeably enjoys all aspects of the Club’s activities and seems to have fun no matter what.

Writer’s Cramp Award

Nominated by the Editor. Members may nominate for written media items that promote and support club activities.

President’s Encouragement Award

Awarded to a member who has shown exceptional Club involvement. The recipient of the President’s Encouragement Award is nominated by the President. The member should be a member of two years standing or less which is the two calendar years prior to the year the award is presented. Nominations requested to assist our President.

Outstanding Effort Award

Awarded to members who have made an outstanding effort for the Club by being heavily involved in many aspects of the club.

Club Activities Award

Awarded to members for running great social, camping or educational Club activities

Club Education Award

Awarded to any member who has made a significant contribution to the education of Club members.

Club Member of the Year

Fred Dyke Club Founder Trophy

The highest accolade of all. For members who have been involved in many aspects of the Club for many years.

Blooper of the Year

This is awarded to a Club member who has made the biggest blooper during the year.
